Here, at Harbour House, we pride ourselves on using locally sourced ingredients and produce wherever possible. I work very closely with our suppliers and take advantage of the fantastic produce they have to offer each week.

Our meat is supplied by J. Mato & sons of Blandford, a family run butcher established in 1979. They often visit their suppliers to look at the animal welfare and to ensure that the animals are being treated properly throughout the process. They have scored a 5 on the hygiene rating and also have the Food Standard Agency approved cutting plan”.

Our fish is supplied by Davy’s Locker of Bridport. “A supplier of first class Fish & shell Fish, which is purchased daily not only from the West Country Ports but throughout the UK. ”

Our vegetables are sourced from A. David’s, a family run business in Somerset. Being family run means that I can work very closely with them and get regular updates on what the best products are at the current time.

Our cleaning and catering supplies come from Gavan of Weymouth. An independent trader who prides himself on going that extra mile to provide a top-quality service. Neil provides us with the very best cleaning chemicals all supported with the relevant COSHH safety data sheets.

Our bread is from Charmouth Bakery, a fantastic family owned and run bakery. The bakery has been in place since the 1830’s and produce an amazing array of breads, rolls and pastries. They only use the very best ingredients and avoid using hydrogenated fats, preservatives and chemicals to ensure that not only does their bread taste better it is healthier also.

We only use free range eggs at Harbour House, supplied by Les & Roy at Monkwood Happy Hens.
